Rescue in Motion Homeless Program

homeless1The purpose of the Rescue in Motion program is to help homeless individuals obtain permanent housing and provide them with the skills needed to avoid recidivism.

A drive through Houston’s popular intersections or a walk through one of its parks is all it takes to realize that there is still much to be done in the battle to reduce homelessness.   For homeless individuals who decide to do something about their condition, Change Happens! is committed to providing that person job training, employment placement, and housing assistance.

As educating our clients is a key component to their overall development, we emphasize to all participants of the Rescue In Motion program that the process to complete restoration is to become well-informed about how to obtain income and how to avoid pitfalls that lead to recidivism.  In 2008 Change Happens! revamped its job readiness training and substance abuse education curriculums to accommodate participants willing to attend sessions beyond the length of the normal course. Modifying our plans to keep up with the needs of our clientele is what empowering adults is all about.
