Outreach Services

The Change Happens! Outreach program provides services to locate and assist eligible families in applying for Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Medicaid, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Food Stamps, and Long Term Care.

Change Happens! uses its Outreach Services program to serve 13 counties along the Gulf Coast region.  The program may assist or educate up to 90,000 people in a given year.  In light of the staggering numbers of children without insurance or proper nutrition, Change Happens! aims to seek out and help as many eligible families and children as possible.  No child should go without proper nutrition or healthcare.  Educating the parents on healthy practices and self-empowerment is a critical part of this process.  We believe that each family should use these resources as needed while ultimately striving for independence.
